Organize in Style Coupons
Go here to request the newest Organize in Style Coupon book... it is usually filled with great coupons, and always had $1 off Dawn dish soap, making it free all of the time at CVS and Rite Aid
Finding an Amazing deal without a coupon
Yesterday I said how I was going to the Palisades Mall and how I was going to do awesome shopping. I had printed out coupons to Old Navy and NY&Company.
I did find some great deals... But I think my favorite would be a deal from Ann Taylor Loft a $69.50 shirt for under $7!
I also spent $78 at NY&Company, but saved $76 so I think that was an excellent deal. I got 2 pairs of jeans, a shirt, sunglasses, a necklace, and earrings.
Foodie Friday
I love this weeks Foodie Friday Recipe: Homemade Cake Mix!
I think it is so smart, easy to make and more cost effective than buying cake mix.
Dry Ingredients:
2 3/4 cup flour
1 3/4 cups SUPER fine sugar (you can buy this or make it)
2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
Mix them all together and store them.
Then when you are ready to bake a cake add:
3/4 cup of unsalted butter
1 cup of milk
5 egg whites
2 teaspoons of vanilla
1/2 teaspoon of almond extract.
Bake at 350degrees for 20-30mins
Thanks so much Amanda

Where to buy milk?!
My cousin texted me the other day telling me milk was $4 a gallon at her Target in PA! Ouch!
Here in upstate NY I buy milk for $2.29 a gallon at BJ's or $2.49 a gallon at Rite Aid- for 2% or whole
Milk really isn't one of those things that go on sale or that there are coupons for, so you need to find where it is cheapest but also a place that is worth going to. A store 20miles away is not worth it. Or going to a wholesale club every week also might not be an option.
I would say to find which store that you go to on a regular basis has the cheapest milk, and stick to buying it there. If you can go to a wholesale club, be sure to check their prices. You can always buy extra milk and freeze it!

Tidy Tuesday
This weeks Tidy Tuesday focuses on the Living Room!
Doing these quick (5mins or less) steps each day will help to keep your house "comany ready" at all times:
Tidy the sofa.
Pick up crumbs with a handheld vacuum.
Wipe tables and spot-clean cabinets where need be.
Straighten coffee table books and magazines.
Clear major clutter.
Coupon!
I just had to post this one for my best friend!
There is a $0.50/1 Starkist Tuna Pouch coupon you can print 2 by hitting the back button. You can also combine this with a $.50 off Target coupon you can also print 2 by going back and clicking on it again. Should make the Tuna pretty cheap.
My Amazon.com free* Diapers arrived!
Yay! I'm so happy I was able to do this deal :)
I just bought 140 Huggies Diapers from Amazon for $33.59
I used the Subscribe and Save option- Saved $10.08
I used 2-20% off coupons from BabyTalk Magazine- Took a total of $13.44 off
Then I used my Swagbucks Amazon gift cards to pay for the other $10.07+tax
In total I paid nothing out of pocket.
A few notes about this:
Subscribe and Save is an option that can be canceled at anytime- even as soon as your order ships
The 20% off coupons had to be from two different months- I used the past 2 issues.

Manic Monday
How is it Monday already!
The focus of every Manic Monday is how to organize your life. So this week, I thought we would talk about calendars.
For many people calendars are a thing of the past... people use the calendar on their phone if anything at all. I think that is fine, because that's what I do. But I am also single.
A family calendar is a great way to help organize the whole family. It can be useful to keep everyones weekly schedule. You can also put in things such as family dinner, doctors appointments and more. This way everyone knows where they need to be. Keeping this Calendar on the counter, or somewhere everyone can see is a great way to stay organized and make sure everyone is where they need to be.

Saving for Something Sunday
For all of us there is something we always want or even better something we need. And for the most part we are use to just going out and buying it, even though we can't really afford it at the time. It might be an "I want a new tv so I will charge it to my credit card and pay it off when I can" Or in some cases it might be "My child needs new clothes, I have to buy them so I will just charge them and pay them later."
I think that saving money is very important. Having an emergency fund, in my opinion should be a high priority. This way when something major comes up it isn't a question of can I afford it.
I know that saving money isn't always easy. It takes effort and sometimes sacrafices to do it. But the end result of not having to worry about money all the time is worth it.
To help you find money in your own budget check out my Budgeting Series, and see if there are simple changes that you can make that will help you be a better saver.
