Throwing a BBQ on a budget!

Since summer is upon us I thought it was the perfect time to write a post about throwing a summer time BBQ party.

Throwing a party can get costly-quickly. I have some great tips to save you money, without it looking like you did.

  • This might seem obvious, but use coupons for the products you will need for the party.
    • Chips, Pretzels & Dip coupons are always available
    • Paper plates, napkins and plastic silverware can be bought in bulk to save a lot of money
    • Hot dog coupons are constantly available and on sale- sometimes for free
    • Brownie,Cake and Cookie mixes can be bought for next to nothing with coupons
    • Many Fruits and Veggies are in season during the summer-cuts down on the cost
    • Pasta Salads are a tasty way to stretch a buck
      • I make Orzo Salad(Orzo pasta, pesto, cherry tomatoes-fast&easy)
    • Buy bulk ground beef and make burgers yourself- much cheaper than premade burgers
    • Buy a frozen bag of Chicken from a Wholesale store- also much cheaper
      • Defrost for 2 days in the fridge with a marinade/bbq sauce
    • Buy drinks in bulk at Wholesale stores-bottled water, cans of soda, and beer to save money
    • Have 2-3 Signature cocktails- that way you do not have to have a fully stocked bar
    • Skirt Steak and London Broil are inexpensive cuts of steak that are perfect for grilling

I would love to hear what kind of BBQ money saving tips or recipes you have
