Tidy Tuesday

This week for Tidy Tuesday I thought we would talk about closet organization- because it is on my To-Do List!

An organized closet is so nice to look at, and it makes it so much easier to find things. Yet having a messy unorganized closet is so easy to have as well, because it seems like it happens over night!

So here are my best tips for organizing a closet:
Do it section by section- or shelf by shelf
Get rid of anything you do not use- have a donate, trash, and keep pile at all times
Place items that you use frequently in easy to access locations and other items further out of site
Label all boxes clearly
Sort items by style and color- sweaters with sweaters or toothbrushes with toothpaste, floss ect.
When storing sheet sets put all of the folded sheets into one of the pillow cases

*If you are the first person to leave a comment telling me who's closet this is and from what show, I will send you a $5 amazon.com giftcard!

Tidy Tuesday

This weeks Tidy Tuesday focuses on the Living Room!

Doing these quick (5mins or less) steps each day will help to keep your house "comany ready" at all times:
Tidy the sofa.
Pick up crumbs with a handheld vacuum.
Wipe tables and spot-clean cabinets where need be.
Straighten coffee table books and magazines.
Clear major clutter.

Tidy Tuesday

This weeks Tidy Tuesday focuses on the Bedroom and how to keep it looking nice and clean at all times. It is simple and takes maybe 5 minutes a day:
-Make your bed.
-Fold or hang clothes and put away jewelry.
-Straighten out the night-table surface.
-Spot dust the furniture- if it is anything like mine it is continuously dusty!

Tidy Tuesday

This weeks Tidy Tuesday tip is one I do all the time!

Clean while cooking- or boiling water or brewing coffee. These things happen everyday anyways, why not take those few minutes to clean the kitchen.

You can:
-Clorox wipe the countertops, table and chairs.
-Throw away out of date food in the refridge.
-Load or Unload the dishwasher or run it.
-Swiffer the floor

One, some, or all of these things can be done in the time it takes to boil water or make a pot of coffee. A clean kitchen is always nice to come home to :)
